The Good End, The Bad Beginning

A sound in the distance I hear,
A loud shrill cry I fear.
I know I must leave and hide away,
And in the hills I must stay.

The face so bright, that called the sun,
Away from it I shall run.
The face so bright, called the moon,
In the dark places I shall loom.

A torture in my heart is dwelling,
The voices now compelling.
Yelling at one another, and even out loud,
To this fate I for sure am bound.

A small heavy, beautiful, golden ring,
Alone to me, it seems to sing.
I will be able to hold on to it forever,
And make me all the more better.

I can become invisible, hide and stalk,
All those foolish orcs I will mock.
For they won't be able to see or find me,
With this ring, I am completely free.

Nobody can tell me what I can do,
This ring has made me new.
For a long time I shall continue to remain,
And see more new things to gain.

Until a time comes where I will be no more,
I will be alone, and cold to the core.
Never needing anyone besides myself,
My old life I place upon a shelf.

R.I.P. Rose

A hearty laugh,
Shared to all dear.
To everyone,
Both far and near.

A beautiful smile,
Spread across her face.
Which released,
Her laugh with grace.

A tender heart,
Filled with deep love.
Shining through,
The light from above.

A comforting hug,
For those in need.
Always there,
Coming with great speed.

A soft kiss,
Right on the cheek.
Showing you,
She was not weak.

A helping hand,
Making sure all is good.
Always hoping,
You know what you should.

A bold spirit,
Filled with a fire.
Over spilling,
With God's deep desire.

Even in a poem,
You could not capture,
The very being,
Which burned a rapture.

A poem written,
To say a good-bye.
We hope,
You tell Everyone we say Hi!

Grey: White Light vs. Dark Night

Grey,
The perfect colour for death.
Right in between
The bright white sky
And
The dark black abyss.
It's the middle ground
Where
You can't be blinded
Or
Fall into nothing.

Grey,
The only existence that
You remain in once
You've disconnected.
Because
The warm light rebukes you
And
The cold dark has no use of you.
You walk along forever
Wishing
The white light will save you
Or
The dark night will claim you.

Grey,
The chapter of your life
That never seems to end.
There once was a time
When
The blinding light was your friend
And
The endless dark was not.
Though now it seems
That
The warmness from the light has faded
And
The coldness of darkness is not so harsh.

Grey,
Doesn't seem so bad anymore.
Now that you don't have to decide
Whether the shining light is for you
Or
Whether the eerie dark is your home.
Just stay where you are
Where
The warm bright white light
Meets
The cold harsh black night.

Bleeding In The Dark

Your eyes, naturally bright green.
Today, are a dull grey-brown.
You seem to be sitting quietly,
Almost appearing at peace.

However, inside, you know the truth.
Just like looking into a mirror,
Or being surrounded by darkness.
You're being tossed between them.

Your mirror shows an encasing.
You, hanging on a dark red wall.
Held up by black slick ropes, bound.
Covered in blood, from head to toe.

The never ending darkness,
Goes on forever, just swallowing
You up. You feel nothing,
See nothing, hear muffled sounds.

So, though, you may appear calm,
On the inside you're hysterical.
You're screaming, crying, bleeding.
But nobody else can see your pain.

What Happened?

What is there, inside?
What do you see outside?
Are there shadows?
Is there sunlight?

As you sit there,
Wondering about these things
You can't see or feel,
New thoughts arise.

What do you look like?
Why can't you hear?
Are the smells real?
Do all people feel the same?

You recall a time,
From when you were small.
Sight, clear and sharp.
Sounds, natural and manmade.

But now you're wondering,
What, on Earth, happened?
You're blind, deaf and confused.
You don't even trust yourself.

From Ranger To King

In a world far from Men,
I have been brought up.
For in fear of my finding,
My mother hid me away.

I know the ways of people,
I watch them every day.
Their ways I have learned,
Though, I abide by them not.

I have grown up among,
The wise and beautiful.
I speak as one of them,
Though, I do not belong.

I am wild and I am free,
I go where I am needed.
Only one part of me is tame,
The part that no-one may see.

I know what I must do,
But it is not my wish.
However, to save her life,
I will do what I must.

I am told that I should,
Become who I was born to be.
To drop my Ranger ways,
To become the future King.

That's Where You'll Find Me

Sitting by a soothing trickling stream,
Relaxing on the edge of a lake.
Letting go by the thunder of a waterfall,
That's where you'll find me.

In a meadow filled with flowers,
Adventuring through a forest.
Exploring my way through a jungle,
That's where you'll find me.

Surrounded by sand and forestry,
On a desserted island far away.
A small little hut all to myself,
That's where you'll find me.

Tucked away in a log cabin house,
Far up north in the mountains.
Where the weather is always extreme,
That's where you'll find me.

Helping work out on a farmyard,
Playing with the horses on a ranch.
Way out of the city, in the country,
That's where you'll find me.

Where the hustle and bustle of people,
Are left where I want them to stay.
When I need an escape I can't afford.
I imagine the places I would rather like to be.

Hidden Deep Inside

Look into my eyes,
Tell me what you see.
Can you see my pain?
Can you see my shame?

Listen to my thoughts,
Tell me what you hear.
Can you hear my screams?
Can you hear my dreams?

Hear closely to my words,
Tell me what they mean.
Can you understand them?
Can you see a pattern?

Feel the beat of my heart,
Tell me about its rhythm.
Can you hear its song?
Can you even sing along?

Hold me close in your arms,
Tell me what you feel.
Can you feel me shaking?
Can you hear my words of thanking??

Think long and hard,
But only for a short second.
Are you feeling brave?
Are you going to promise to stay?

Well, let me step back,
But just for a moment.
So I can give back what you gave me.
So I can let you inside to see.

A Troubled Heart

I want you to hate me.
I want you to yell at me.
I want you to strike me.
I want you to reject me.

In all the pain it would cause,
It can't get any worst.
Everything that I'm feeling,
Is given to me from inside.

I want you to love me.
I want you to whisper to me.
I want you to hug me.
I want you to accept me.

As all human beings are,
Nobody wants to be left out.
Everyone wants to know,
That someone cares for them.

I will test the words that you say.
I will test the meanings as well .
I will test the limits you can handle.
I will test the consistency you show.

For someone who's never sure,
If people really mean what they say,
Keep in mind that an observation,
Will always be taking place.

I want you to know I love you.
I want you to know I don't understand.
I want you to know I'm sorry.
I want you to know it hurts deeply.

Not everyone's intentions are cruel,
When assurance is lacking in their life.
From people who use fruitless words,
And expect deep, sentimental love.

Shattered To Pieces

Shattered,
Broken and sharp,
Are the shards of my heart.
Scattered,
Teeny and tiny,
All about the ground.
Searching,
Panic and blood,
Cutting into my hands.
Finding,
Bits at a time,
Hoping to find all of them.
Pieces.
