The Panic Room

The room is dark
You're yelling, screaming,
Crying and trying to breathe.
It hurts, your chest
Feels like it's going to explode!
The walls are rubber,
You bang on them
With all your might!
Hoping that you break free.
Your face is burning,
Soaked by your tears.
As you try to catch your breath,
You start to calm down.
You realize
There are two things you can do,
You choose to sit down,
Relax and release yourself.
After a few minutes
You end up passing out,
Staying asleep until
A light enters the room.
You awake,
Coming to terms that
Now, you are free.

The Dark Whisper

Creeping along the walls,
You hear a dripping sound.
You follow it closely,
Only to find condensation.

Searching through the dark,
You wonder where you are.
How did you find you way here?
What led you here in the first place?

You turn about frantically,
Searching for the exit.
But you see nothing,
Except the blackness around you.

There's another sound you hear,
In the distance.
Something like a whispering,
You're searching for it.

Then you stop and listen,
Suddenly you realize it.
That whispering is close,
From deep within you.

Taking a moment you listen closer,
The whisper takes note of this.
It tells you something important,
You are special and important.

Anger of Passion

Deep inside of me,
Lies an anger of passion.
So hot and so strong.

Unlike fire and ice,
It smolders like hot lava.
Bubbling all around.

Consuming my heart,
With torment and intense rage.
Tearing me apart.

Eating me alive,
I wish I could quench the flame.
To keep me from pain.

Through all this anger,
There is resolve to find hope.
I hope to find peace.
